How to use the start clock with beeps.

Opening the settings

Click anywhere on the main screen to open the settings popup. Click ✕ or outside the popup to close it.

Sound

  • The app beeps for the last five seconds before every whole minute (55–59 s).
  • On every whole minute (second 0) you hear a longer, louder beep.
  • Turn on sound with the Enable sound button in the settings.
  • Adjust the volume with the Volume slider.
  • Choose browser voice (offline) for name reading without internet, or AI voice (online) for better quality.

Start list

CSV format: HH:MM,name,club,class per row. JSON: an array of objects with the fields time, name, club and class.

  • Random names — shows up to five random competitors each minute.
  • No start list — shows no names.
  • Load from file — upload a CSV or JSON file with starts.
  • Import from Eventor (API) — fetch the start list straight from Eventor with an event ID and API key.
  • Class filter — uncheck classes you don't want to show; the choice is saved and applies to file, Eventor and random names.

Time offset

You can shift the displayed time by hours and minutes under Time offset. Useful for repeating an earlier start or preparing for a coming one.

Once a start list is loaded, Jump to first start shifts the displayed time to one minute before the first start in the list.

Spoken names

When sound is on, the app reads the starters' names in the selected language about 10 seconds after the whole minute. The name being read is shown in bold.

Language

The site is available in Swedish, English, Norwegian and Finnish. Change language in the settings — text and voice both follow.

Keep the screen awake

Turn on Keep screen awake to stop the screen from switching off. It requires a click from you and works in most modern browsers.

Screen orientation

The layout adapts automatically to portrait and landscape. In landscape the clock and the start list are placed side by side.

Logo

Show the organiser's logo above the clock. Upload an image file or enter an image link, set the size with the slider and choose a position (left, centred, right or hidden). By default the Katrineholms OK logo is pre-selected but hidden.

Tips

  • Turn the sound off if you only want the start list on screen.
  • Use Show start list to review all imported starts.
  • Settings are saved automatically in your browser.
